About The Position

Mister Car Wash is hiring an Assistant General Manager in Training (AGMIT) for an accelerated development program designed to prepare the successful candidate for the Assistant General Manager position. The role is suited to someone who wants to develop leadership skills in a fast-paced, customer-facing service environment and grow with an expanding company.

Working closely with an experienced Certified Trainer, the AGMIT learns daily operations, performance data and decision-making, team development and performance management, staffing and employee relations, and basic functional and mechanical skills for maintaining the facility and meeting customer quality expectations. The program provides hands-on experience, business knowledge, and mentorship, and prepares the candidate to progress toward leading a location as a General Manager.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience leading a team, supervising shifts, or managing people in a customer-facing environment.
• Understanding of high-volume retail or service operations and delivery of consistent, high-quality customer experiences.
• Ability to take initiative, lead by example, model company values, and drive team performance, motivation, and accountability.
• Ability to coach and develop others, provide clear feedback, build confidence, and help team members take on new responsibilities.
• Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-moving environment with competing priorities and constant activity.
• Enjoy working with people and bring positivity to interactions.
• Comfort working outdoors in a fast-paced setting through all weather conditions.
• Ability to adapt quickly, remain curious, and interest in growing into a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Learn daily site operations, including opening and closing routines, quality and safety practices, and maintaining smooth site flow.
• Understand performance data and make decisions that drive results.
• Develop skills in team development, coaching, and performance management.
• Support staffing, recruitment, and employee relations.
• Learn basic functional and mechanical skills to help maintain the facility and meet customer quality expectations.
