About The Position

The Assistant Front-End Manager supports front-end operations and the Front End Manager, helping ensure team members are informed and trained on their job responsibilities and that guests receive effective service. The role includes monitoring schedules and front-end coverage, communicating sales and pricing information, and managing the availability and proper use of supplies. Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment, with possible frequent exposure to hot or cold conditions.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Ability to perform the physical and sensory demands of the role, including standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, twisting, crouching, reaching, repetitive motions, coordination, and responding to customer inquiries.
Ability to maneuver objects weighing up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Ensure team members are continually informed and properly trained on front-end duties, including guest checks, over-rings, refunds, WIC, Absolute Card, security, register funds, guest services, price changes, product locations, and produce codes.
Stay informed about ad items, special prices, coupon deals, and other sales-program features, and communicate relevant information to the front end.
Immediately notify appropriate personnel about pricing errors or items not found in the file.
Establish and monitor team member schedules to support guest service, productivity, and efficiency.
Observe front-end coverage during high-volume periods and ensure additional help is provided as needed.
Ensure front-end supplies, including bags, register tapes, office forms, and cleaning supplies, are available, controlled, and used properly within established budgets and guidelines.
Support the Front End Manager with assigned tasks.
