About The Position

Assistant Food Service Managers support the Food Service Manager in maintaining continuous food service operations at FiveStar. They help ensure customer service and food service operations are delivered to the highest standard while on duty. The role includes following food safety and company procedures, merchandising products, promoting food service offerings, and helping train and supervise staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of food service equipment.
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
• Team-oriented, honest, hardworking, and excellent attendance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work different shifts, including a.m., p.m., and overnight, as well as weekends and holidays.
• Ability to perform daily standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, climbing, walking, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Ability to work in cold indoor environments of 35 degrees or less and perform food service preparation.
• Ability to work in varying seasonal weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Customer Service Representative responsibilities proficiently.
• Partner with the management team to deliver FiveStar customer service in the food service area in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Stay current on health and food safety regulations, including sanitation, storage, rotation, expiration dates, preparation, cooking, thawing, and temperatures.
• Follow company food service procedures for inventory control and ordering, food quality, equipment maintenance and cleaning, accounting, and food preparation production guides.
• Follow up with management on food service communications, including emails, weekly and monthly specials, and company-wide programs.
• Merchandise products, including maintaining signage, pricing, freshness, and presentation.
• Promote company food service promotions.
• Collaborate with the management team to train and supervise staff in food service responsibilities.
