About The Position

The Assistant Facility Manager reports to the Facility Manager and is responsible for delivering and executing daily and short-term plans to achieve operational and business objectives. The role supports warehouse associates and delivery operations while helping ensure appropriate staffing, efficient routes, accurate inventory, and safe, productive operations. It also involves communicating operational objectives and procedures to employees and maintaining professional relationships with customers and suppliers.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing warehouse associates, dispatch routes, and support for delivery drivers.
• Work with the Facility Manager to plan, monitor, and execute schedules, adjusting them as needed to ensure staffing supports operational demands and business objectives.
• Manage inbound and outbound truck loading and unloading while maintaining warehouse organization and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain daily productivity, customer service, and safety standards.
• Provide superior customer service and maintain professional, courteous relations with customers and suppliers.
• Communicate objectives, policies, procedures, and safety methods to employees.
• Use knowledge of customer schedules, delivery times, traffic volume, and alternate routes to improve route efficiency.
• Load and unload products according to the size of the load and its content description.
• Maintain a professional manner and appearance to enhance the company's image.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
