About The Position

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper at Vdara oversees housekeeping operations and helps ensure guest rooms and public spaces meet the resort’s luxury standards for cleanliness, presentation, and service. This leadership role supports operational excellence and guest satisfaction while fostering teamwork and developing the housekeeping team.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Two years of prior relevant experience, preferably in Housekeeping or EVS.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment.
• Experience leading union team members and working within a collective bargaining environment.
• Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest concerns professionally and promptly, ensuring positive resolution.
• Manage departmental performance, budgets, staffing levels, and accountability processes to meet short- and long-term business objectives.
• Lead Housekeeping Human Resources functions, including hiring, training, coaching, recognition, performance management, discipline, succession planning, and compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Mentor, coach, and develop Housekeeping Floor Managers to support performance and advancement opportunities.
• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure Housekeeping Floor Managers and Guest Room Attendants meet quality assurance and sanitation standards.
• Partner with Scheduling Attendants to ensure bidding processes are completed according to policies, procedures, and timelines.
• Represent management in unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and other meetings as needed.
