About The Position

The Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions, Metro Nashville, plays a crucial role in supporting Lipscomb University's mission to integrate Christian faith and practice with academic excellence. This position is responsible for recruiting an academically qualified and diverse student population from Metro Nashville Public Schools and Nashville Charter Schools, while achieving enrollment goals and fostering positive relationships with the university's constituents. The role involves promoting a positive image of Lipscomb through professional performance, managing an assigned local territory, and contributing to various office duties and special events.

Requirements

  • Manage an assigned local territory.
  • Understanding and desire to advocate for college access.
  • Willingness to support first-generation college students.
  • Knowledge base and willingness to provide financial aid counseling.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a positive image of Lipscomb University.
  • Recruit freshman students from Metro Nashville Public Schools and Nashville Charter Schools.
  • Achieve enrollment goals in academic quality and diversity.
  • Build positive relationships with friends of Lipscomb.
  • Assist and/or coordinate special events on and off campus, including weekends.
  • Meet recruitment goals as determined by the leadership team of undergraduate admission.
  • Complete office duties including admissions/financial aid visits, campus tours, and receiving inbound calls.
  • Manage an assigned local territory, including building relationships with prospective students, conducting high school visits, attending college fairs, hosting events and information sessions, meeting with counselors and key leaders, meeting with alumni, and making connections.
  • Handle additional responsibilities within the Office of Admission, such as data management, budget management, and scholarship programming.
  • Advocate for college access and support first-generation college students through special programming and events.
  • Provide financial aid counseling to prospective students.
