About The Position

Acts is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for its skilled nursing neighborhood. The ADON develops, implements, and evaluates new-hire orientation programs, educational in-service and clinical programs, and training for nursing personnel. The role also oversees the infection control program as a designated infection preventionist, supporting compliance with Federal and State regulations and providing training to nursing staff. The ADON assists the Director of Nursing with management and administrative functions.

Requirements

• Current State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least five years of clinical experience.
• Experience with in-service education.
• Knowledge of principles of nursing care and Federal and State regulations governing long-term care facilities.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
• Clinical supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate new-hire orientation programs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate educational in-service and clinical programs and training for nursing personnel.
• Oversee the infection control program as a designated infection preventionist to support compliance with Federal and State regulations.
• Provide infection-control training to nursing staff.
• Assist the Director of Nursing with management and administrative functions.
