About The Position

King's Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join its nursing home leadership team. The role is suited to a compassionate, qualified Registered Nurse with strong leadership skills and a commitment to exceptional resident care. The ADON supports nursing department leadership, staffing, compliance, education, documentation, and resident care. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

Current, active, unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
RN nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
Current CPR certification.
At least three years of nursing experience in a setting serving a similar resident population.
At least one year of management experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to nursing home operations.
A dedicated, compassionate, and results-driven approach to delivering exceptional care.

Responsibilities

Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management, clinicians, and other team members.
Participate in developing and achieving nursing department goals, including staff development and educational programming.
Assist with implementing policies, procedures, and standards of practice, and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff in accordance with staffing plans and state requirements.
Collaborate with department heads to promote positive interdepartmental relations.
Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring an accurate and effective documentation system.
Provide direct resident care as needed and interact effectively with residents and families.
Create and implement ideas and processes that improve care outcomes.
