About The Position

The Assistant Department Manager supports service, selling, and business operations to help create an engaging and inspiring store environment. The role fosters community among the team through continued education on brand and store initiatives. It contributes to customer experience, team leadership, store operations, visual standards, and communication while supporting store objectives.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of retail leadership experience.
• Experience being a team player.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet store needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Represent the brand and promote a positive, inclusive store environment in line with the SPARKED program values.
• Lead by example in delivering extraordinary service and creating an environment where all customers feel welcome, heard, and valued.
• Support store leaders and stylists in promoting customer events that encourage brand engagement and connections with the local community.
• Help lead the salesfloor, communicate across zones, and guide the team in prioritizing customer experience and store objectives.
• Participate in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding to help retain a diverse and engaged team.
• Use brand resources to support employee development, the SPARKED Journal, employee recognition, and team-building activities.
• Support daily operating processes, including opening and closing, store standards, restocking, and facilities or IT issues.
• Collaborate with partners on shipment and omni fulfillment, visual standards, product stock levels, and markdowns.
• Provide feedback on team training needs to support scheduling and payroll allocation for sales and brand initiatives.
• Contribute to an inclusive work environment by listening actively and seeking different perspectives.
• Communicate with leadership and work as a team to complete store objectives.
• Share store priorities and brand messages with the team while prioritizing employee engagement.
• Communicate insights about customer and staff experiences to the Service and Styling Manager.
