About The Position
Toll Brothers is seeking an experienced Assistant Construction Manager / Superintendent for a new-home community in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. This position is on-site five days per week. The role inspects homes during construction and at completion to ensure workmanship and safety standards are maintained, and that homes meet safety, quality, and legal requirements. The position also coordinates subcontractors and laborers, permits, building materials, inspections, and pre-settlement inspections.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience, including scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production across all phases of residential construction.
- Thorough knowledge of all trades.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to manage projects involving development and implementation of business processes, using necessary resources and skills within agreed cost, time, and quality parameters.
- Ability to plan and prioritize, with attention to detail and effective time management.
- Clear, concise communication using appropriate grammar in speaking and writing.
- Ability to manage individuals and groups, including assessing capabilities, integrating teams, allocating tasks, providing direction and support, motivating employees, and managing performance.
- Ability to provide effective feedback throughout the performance management cycle.
- Ability to participate, as appropriate, in formal processes such as compensation negotiations and disciplinary procedures.
