About The Position

CVG Properties is hiring an Assistant Community Manager to support two communities in South San Diego and El Cajon, totaling 201 units. The role is full-time and on-site at both communities, with weekends and some evenings as needed. The Assistant Community Manager will work closely with the Community Manager and a San Diego-based Regional Manager and may step in as manager when the Community Manager is away. The position offers a path to becoming a Community Manager.

CVG Properties owns and operates its communities and has done so since 1993 across Arizona, California, Utah, and Texas. Compensation is $21–$23+ per hour, plus monthly mileage and cell phone reimbursement and a housing discount at a CVG community. Requirements

• At least 2 years of multifamily leasing or assistant manager experience.
• Comfort with numbers, Yardi or similar software, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage responsibilities across two properties.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Availability to work some evenings and weekends if necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Experience with Yardi, Rent Café, CRM, or EliseAI.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries; give tours; follow up with prospects and close leases; and keep CRM records current.
• Collect and post rent and fees, make deposits, process invoices, and follow up on past-due balances.
• Serve lease notices and support evictions, including court appearances when needed.
• Manage applications, screening, lease files, move-ins, move-outs, and move-out deposit dispositions.
• Log service requests and resolve resident concerns quickly.
• Market the communities through social media posts, market surveys, outreach, and resident events.
• Step in as manager when the Community Manager is out.
