About The Position

Best Crowd Management is hiring an Assistant Account Manager to support event operations at major venues in professional sports and other event settings. The role helps ensure concerts, sports games, corporate events, and other events run smoothly and safely. It involves coordinating event operations, directing and training supervisors and staff, responding to service concerns and emergencies, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring procedures, training materials, and assigned positions meet standards. The position is based in Oxford, Mississippi, and requires up to 25% travel. The posting lists a salary of $55,500–$60,000 per year and describes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.

Requirements

Previous event and/or crowd management experience.
Ability to perform tasks professionally in a customer service-driven industry.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to respond effectively to changes and handle emergencies.
Minimum 1–3 years of professional-level experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally climb or work in high places.
Ability to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in security, event staffing, law enforcement, or the military.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing all aspects of event operations to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.
Assign tasks, direct work, and provide on-the-job training to event supervisors and staff.
Address and resolve service concerns, respond to incidents, and maintain positive client relationships.
Respond to client or site emergencies and ensure timely, effective communication.
Oversee shift supervisors, coach and train staff, and evaluate performance.
Ensure procedures and training materials are up to date and all positions are well-maintained.
