The Assets Protection Team Leader leads store security, safety, shortage prevention, and crisis-response work to protect guests, team members, the Target brand, and profitable sales. The role includes leading hourly team members, building a strong safety and security culture, managing Assets Protection priorities, identifying and resolving theft and fraud, and partnering with store leaders, public safety officials, and law enforcement. The leader also supports an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience and helps ensure merchandise is available to guests. This is a full-time role, but it does not guarantee 40 hours per week; hours may fluctuate based on business needs. Work schedules vary to align with guest and business needs and security and theft patterns, and may include early morning or overnight shifts, evenings, weekends, holidays, closing shifts, and other peak shopping times. The role is active and physically demanding, requires mobility throughout shifts, and includes accessing all areas of the building, climbing ladders, apprehending subjects in accordance with company policy, and frequently handling or moving merchandise weighing up to 40 pounds. The starting pay range is $21.25–$23.25 per hour, and the full pay range is $21.25–$36.15 per hour. Pay depends on factors such as labor markets and, in some cases, education, work experience, and certifications.
