Asset Protection Visual Security Officer, Part Time - Willowbrook
About The Position
A Bloomingdale’s Asset Protection Visual Security Officer provides a visible and welcoming presence at the customer entrance to help deter theft and support a positive shopping experience. The role helps maintain a safe environment for customers and colleagues by greeting and assisting customers, monitoring store traffic, observing for theft, and communicating suspicious activity to Asset Protection/Security. Bloomingdale’s provides Asset Protection training to help officers perform the job and grow in responsibility. Officers are expected to maintain a high degree of professionalism.
Requirements
- No education or experience is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers while on the selling floor.
- Visually monitor customer traffic entering and exiting the store.
- Deter theft through visual observation.
- Help maintain a safe business environment.
- Communicate suspicious activity to Asset Protection/Security.
