Asset Protection Visual Security Officer, Part Time - Palm Beach Gardens
About The Position
A Bloomingdale’s Asset Protection Visual Security Officer provides a visible, welcoming presence at the customer entrance to help deter theft while supporting a positive shopping experience. The role helps maintain a safe environment for customers and colleagues by greeting and assisting customers, visually monitoring store traffic, observing for theft, and communicating suspicious activity to Asset Protection or Security. Officers are expected to perform their duties professionally. Bloomingdale’s provides Asset Protection training and opportunities to grow in responsibility.
Requirements
- No education or experience is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- May occasionally need to reach above eye level, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Frequently lift or move up to 30 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers while on the selling floor.
- Visually monitor customer traffic entering and exiting the store.
- Deter theft through visual observation.
- Help maintain a safe business environment.
- Communicate suspicious activity to Asset Protection or Security.
