Asset Protection Visual Security Officer, Part Time - Huntington
About The Position
A Bloomingdale’s Asset Protection Visual Security Officer provides a visible, welcoming presence at the customer entrance to help deter theft while supporting a positive customer shopping experience. The role helps maintain a safe environment for customers and colleagues by greeting and engaging customers, visually monitoring store traffic, observing for theft, and communicating suspicious activity to Asset Protection or Security. Bloomingdale’s provides Asset Protection training to help officers gain the knowledge and tools to perform the job and grow in responsibility. Officers are expected to maintain a high degree of professionalism while carrying out their duties.
Requirements
- No education or experience is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers while on the selling floor.
- Visually monitor customer traffic entering and exiting the store.
- Deter theft through visual observation.
- Help maintain a safe business environment.
- Communicate suspicious activity to Asset Protection or Security.
