About The Position

The Asset Protection Lead is responsible for protecting company assets and associates at a Macy’s facility in Columbus. The role supports facility security and operations by controlling access, responding to alarms and emergencies, monitoring activities, completing logs and reports, and operating power equipment and CCTV. The position requires regular, dependable attendance and punctuality and an inclusive, respectful approach to working with colleagues, customers, and communities.

Requirements

• Knowledge of PCs, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using computers and handheld technology.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of prolonged standing and walking; reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and climbing ladders; and frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Prior security experience in a distribution center environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete inbound and outbound trailer logs, common carrier logs, and discrepancy reports.
• Maintain access control for everyone entering and exiting the facility.
• Respond to the alarm system.
• Conduct audits on common carriers.
• Monitor associate activities.
• Monitor activities of visitors and truckers.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations.
• Respond to building emergencies.
• Operate power equipment and CCTV.
• Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Foster acceptance and respect, strengthen relationships, and support authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
