About The Position
The Asset Protection Associate maintains the safety and security of the facility and surrounding areas. The role follows safety standards, procedures, and guidelines; conducts safety sweeps; uses proper forklift spotting procedures; handles and disposes of hazardous materials correctly; follows steel standard guidelines; and corrects or reports unsafe situations to management. The associate observes and communicates suspicious activity, assists with investigations, maintains required paperwork and logs, and appropriately executes emergency response procedures. The position also reflects Walmart and Sam’s Club values by working collaboratively, communicating positively, supporting and developing others, acting with integrity, serving customers and members, and pursuing continuous improvement. The role is based at 1459 N Dysart Rd, Avondale, AZ 85323-1515.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Maintain facility safety by following applicable standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct safety sweeps and follow proper forklift spotting procedures.
- Handle and dispose of hazardous materials according to proper procedures.
- Follow Company steel standard guidelines and correct or report unsafe situations to management.
- Help secure and safeguard the facility and surrounding areas by observing and communicating suspicious activity.
- Assist with investigations and maintain required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
- Execute emergency response procedures appropriately.
- Work as a team, build trusting relationships, communicate positively, and help develop and mentor others.
- Act with integrity and accountability while supporting customers, members, associates, and the company’s stated values.
- Support continuous improvement and adapt to new technologies, skills, and change.
