About The Position
The Asset Protection Associate helps maintain the safety and security of the Sam’s Club facility and surrounding areas. The role follows safety standards and procedures, conducts safety sweeps, uses proper forklift-spotting practices, handles and disposes of hazardous materials according to procedures, follows Company steel standards, and corrects or reports unsafe situations to management. The associate observes and communicates suspicious activity, assists with investigations, maintains required paperwork and logs, and appropriately carries out emergency response procedures. The position also calls for conduct consistent with the company’s values: respecting individuals, working collaboratively, communicating positively, supporting and developing teammates, acting with integrity and accountability, serving customers and members, and pursuing continuous improvement and learning.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Maintain facility safety by following safety standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct safety sweeps and follow proper forklift-spotting procedures.
- Follow procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials and Company steel standards.
- Correct or report unsafe situations to management.
- Help secure and safeguard the facility and surrounding areas by observing and communicating suspicious activity.
- Assist with investigations and maintain required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
- Execute emergency response procedures appropriately.
- Work as a team, communicate positively, and help develop and mentor others.
- Act with integrity, ethics, and accountability in support of company values.
- Serve customers and members and consider how work affects team results.
- Support continuous improvement, learning, and the use of new technologies and skills.
