About The Position

The Asset Protection Associate helps maintain the safety and security of the Sam’s Club facility and surrounding areas. The role follows safety standards and procedures, conducts safety sweeps, follows forklift-spotting procedures, handles and disposes of hazardous materials properly, follows Company steel standards, and corrects or reports unsafe situations to Management. The associate observes and communicates suspicious activity, assists with investigations, maintains required paperwork and logs, and properly executes emergency response procedures. The position also calls for respectful, ethical, team-oriented conduct; effective communication; helping develop and mentor others; accountability; putting customers and members first; making decisions based on reliable information; and supporting continuous improvement, learning, and change. The role is based at the Sam’s Club location at 1850 E Woodmen Rd, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

Follow safety standards, procedures, and guidelines to maintain facility safety.
Conduct safety sweeps and follow proper forklift-spotting procedures.
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials according to proper procedures.
Follow Company steel standard guidelines and correct or report unsafe situations to Management.
Observe and communicate suspicious activity to help secure the facility and surrounding areas.
Assist with investigations.
Maintain paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
Execute emergency response procedures appropriately.
Build trusting team relationships, communicate effectively, and help develop and mentor others.
Serve customers and members, act with integrity, and support continuous improvement.
