About The Position
The Asset Protection Associate maintains the safety and security of the facility and its surrounding areas. The role follows safety standards, procedures, and guidelines; conducts safety sweeps; follows proper forklift spotting and hazardous-material handling and disposal procedures; adheres to steel standards; and corrects or reports unsafe situations to management. The associate observes and communicates suspicious activity, assists with investigations, maintains required paperwork and logs, and appropriately executes emergency response procedures. The position also calls for collaboration, effective communication, mentoring and supporting teammates, acting with integrity and accountability, serving customers and members, and pursuing continuous improvement. The role is based at the Sam's Club location at 5310 S Rice Ave, Houston, TX 77081-2112.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Follow facility safety standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct safety sweeps and follow proper forklift spotting procedures.
- Follow procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials and Company steel standard guidelines.
- Correct or report unsafe situations to management.
- Help secure and safeguard the facility and surrounding areas by observing and communicating suspicious activity.
- Assist with investigations and maintain required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
- Execute emergency response procedures appropriately.
- Work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and help develop and mentor others.
- Act with integrity and accountability, serve customers and members, and support continuous improvement.
