About The Position

The Asset Protection Agent helps keep customers, employees, and brands safe; protects company profits by mitigating shrinkage risks; and supports merchandise availability through theft prevention, investigation, and resolution. The role partners with the store Emergency Response Team (ERT) to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies. Its work follows three pillars: protecting people, protecting physical spaces and merchandise, and supporting product accuracy through improved inventory accuracy and reduced shrinkage. The agent resolves theft, identifies theft trends, supports internal theft investigations, and helps establish a shrinkage-reduction culture. The role also supports store security and emergency response, leads security audits and shrinkage-awareness activities, prepares incident reports, and builds partnerships with store leaders, neighboring retailers, and local law enforcement. The agent may be summoned to testify in criminal or civil court cases.
