About The Position

Brooks Instrument, an industry leader in flow and pressure instrumentation, is seeking candidates for Assembler and Calibrator (3rd shift) positions at their Hatfield, Pennsylvania headquarters. Brooks Instrument is a division of ITW, a Fortune 200 company with global operations. The company's high-tech products are used in various critical applications across multiple industries. The Assembler role involves coordinating workflow, accurately assembling standard meters using routing sheets and bills of material, utilizing hand tools, performing final assembly on electronic products, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Calibrator role focuses on testing and calibrating flow measurement controllers to customer specifications, troubleshooting calibration issues, determining testing parameters, operating calibration equipment, collecting data, and interfacing with engineering and customers. Both roles require regular attendance, the ability to work in a team environment, and adherence to safety procedures.

Requirements

Must be available to train on 1st or 2nd shift through October 2026.
High school graduate or GED preferred.
1-year mechanical/electronic assembly experience preferred.
Must be able to read and write.
High school education, or GED, and calibration experience preferred.
Familiarity with various hand tools, including their application/use and the ability to multi-task required.
Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude desired.
Good computer skills with Microsoft Word/Excel experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate workflow to meet scheduled dates.
Accurately assemble standard meters from routing sheet and bill of material.
Plan and layout work in assembly sequence from bill of material.
Use hand tools to proficiently assemble sub-assemblies and complete meters.
After calibration, complete assembly by installing cans, fittings and labels.
Vacuum seal and/or package completed meters per established procedures.
Complete final assemblies on electronic products where trained.
Support company continual improvement initiatives.
Regular attendance and the ability to get along in a team environment.
Adhere to all safety procedures.
Test and calibrate meters to customer’s specifications.
Troubleshooting of basic calibration problems.
Determine parameters of testing media, temperature, pressure, liquid or gas, and test fixtures used.
Operate computer assisted calibration equipment, manual equipment and Bell Provers.
Collect data for calibration sheets for manual calibration equipment.
Interface with Engineering on evaluations of application or product problems.
Work with customers, agents, or inspectors who want to simulate flow conditions.
