Art Director, Print Innovation (Studio X)

The Magic TCG Studio is seeking an experienced Art Director with a passion for fantasy art and product design. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the designs and quality of our assets meet our production process and manufacturing guidelines. You will collaborate with the creative and production teams on card frame designs, testing new print techniques, and producing collectible Magic cards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, print production, and Adobe software, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Brainstorm and collaborate as a team - Create and direct a high volume of stunning visual treatments, layout, and styling for tabletop card treatments - Actively participate in product development meetings and discussions - Provide constructive feedback to in-house and external designers in crafting concept and final art asset - Review print-ready files and provide detailed print specifications - Confirm proofs and materials from suppliers to verify content, placement, and color meet expectations and quality - Stay current with print treatments and emerging art styles - Explore ways to integrate print trends - Demonstrate clean creative vision in print layout and execution - Have a passion for graphic design, printing techniques, and finishes - Specialize in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator software - Possess strong communication and organizational skills - Have an eye for color and detail - Be a collaborative, continuous learner who shares knowledge to make others better

- 4+ yrs. experience in graphic design and/or layout Art Director experience - 2+ yrs. commercial print production and/or print commissioning experience - A portfolio demonstrating clean creative vision, primarily in print layout and execution - Passion for graphic design, printing techniques and finishes - Specialization in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator software, with experience crafting clean, print-ready files - Strong communication and organizational skills, eye for color/detail, and comfortable giving and receiving feedback - Be a collaborative, continuous learner who shares knowledge to make others better
