About The Position

The Armored Van Driver/Cash Courier represents Empyreal as a transportation and customer service professional. Drivers operate armored vehicles and are expected to provide courteous, professional service while safely collecting, transporting, and delivering currency and coin between vehicles and client locations. The role includes loading and unloading ATM machines, tracking shipments and routes with handheld electronic devices, and ensuring the secure and accurate handling of clients’ assets. Drivers also maintain communication with company representatives, report delays and incidents, complete documentation, conduct vehicle inspections, and keep vehicles, equipment, and facilities clean and operationally ready.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Working knowledge of navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, web-based maps, or physical maps.
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records and use scanners and handheld devices.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, courtesy, respect, and uniform standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
• Trustworthiness and ability to act with integrity.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of experience in delivery driving, route driving, truck driving, medical courier work, messenger work, ATM technology, patrol officer work, military service, secure transport, or security guard work.

Responsibilities

• Represent Empyreal as a transportation and customer service professional.
• Communicate positively, professionally, and courteously with customers, co-workers, and management in person and through phone, written, computerized, or other electronic means.
• Safely operate vehicles in varied traffic, road, weather, and daylight conditions.
• Collect, transport, and deliver currency and coin to and from vehicles and client locations.
• Load and unload ATM machines.
• Use handheld electronic devices to scan and track currency shipments and determine vehicle routes.
• Ensure the safe, accurate, and secure collection and delivery of clients’ assets.
• Maintain communication with designated company representatives.
• Timely report delays, customer service issues, incidents, unusual circumstances, and other important information.
• Complete documentation and updates using handheld electronic devices.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections.
• Maintain the vehicle, equipment, and facility in clean and operational readiness condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
