About The Position

The Armored Van Driver/Cash Courier represents Empyreal as a transportation and customer service professional, providing courteous service to customers while safely collecting, transporting, and delivering currency and coin. Drivers operate armored vehicles in varied traffic, road, weather, and daylight conditions, and use handheld electronic devices to scan and track shipments, determine routes, and complete documentation. The role also includes loading and unloading ATM machines, conducting vehicle inspections, and keeping vehicles, equipment, and facilities clean and ready for operation. The position calls for professionalism, integrity, and respectful communication with customers, coworkers, management, and designated company representatives. Employees are expected to report delays, service issues, incidents, unusual circumstances, and other important information promptly, and to contribute to Empyreal’s vision, values, and culture by fostering productive working relationships and addressing conflict constructively. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Working knowledge of navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, web-based maps, or physical maps.
Ability to maintain basic logs and records and use scanners and handheld devices.
Ability to maintain professionalism, courtesy, respect, and uniform standards.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of experience in a delivery driver, route driver, truck driver, medical courier, messenger, ATM technician, patrol officer, military veteran, secure transport, or security guard position.

Responsibilities

Represent Empyreal as a transportation and customer service professional.
Communicate positively, courteously, and professionally with customers, coworkers, and management in person and through phone, written, and electronic channels.
Safely operate vehicles in a variety of traffic, road, weather, and daylight conditions.
Collect, transport, and deliver currency and coin to and from vehicles and client locations.
Load and unload ATM machines.
Use handheld electronic devices to scan and track currency shipments and determine vehicle routes.
Ensure the safe, accurate, and secure collection and delivery of clients’ assets.
Maintain communication with designated company representatives.
Promptly report delays, customer service issues, incidents, unusual circumstances, and other important information.
Complete documentation and updates using handheld electronic devices.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections.
Keep the vehicle, equipment, and facility clean and in operational readiness condition.
Maintain basic logs and records.
Work in partnership within and across workgroups, foster productive relationships, and address conflict respectfully and constructively.
Perform other duties as assigned.
