About The Position

Empyreal Logistics is seeking an Armored Van Driver/Cash Courier to represent the company as a transportation and customer service professional. Drivers operate comfortable, lightweight armored vehicles and are expected to value both the results of their work and how they accomplish it. The role involves securely collecting, transporting, and delivering currency and coin, serving customers professionally, and maintaining vehicles, equipment, and required records. The position requires safe driving in varied traffic, road, weather, and daylight conditions; use of handheld electronic devices to scan and track shipments, determine routes, and update documentation; and communication with customers, coworkers, management, and designated company representatives. Drivers also load and unload ATM machines and complete vehicle safety inspections. Empyreal Logistics participates in E-Verify and provides Form I-9 information to the federal government to confirm work authorization in the United States.

Requirements

Meet all job-related qualifications and role-specific requirements, where permitted by law.
Maintain a valid driver's license and be able to perform the essential driving duties of the position.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Have working knowledge of navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
Be able to maintain basic logs and records and use scanners and handheld devices.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
Demonstrate trustworthiness and integrity.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of experience in a delivery driver, route driver, truck driver, medical courier, messenger, ATM technician, patrol officer, military veteran, secure transport, or security guard position is preferred.

Responsibilities

Represent Empyreal as a transportation and customer service professional.
Communicate positively, professionally, and in a friendly manner with customers, coworkers, and management in person and through phone, written, computerized, and other electronic means.
Safely operate vehicles under varying traffic, road, weather, and daylight conditions.
Collect, transport, and deliver currency and coin to and from vehicles and client locations.
Load and unload ATM machines.
Use handheld electronic devices to scan and track currency shipments and determine vehicle routes.
Ensure the safe, accurate, and secure collection and delivery of clients' assets.
Maintain communications with designated company representatives and promptly report delays, customer service issues, incidents, unusual circumstances, and other important information.
Complete documentation and updates using handheld electronic devices.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections.
Maintain the vehicle, equipment, and facility in clean and operationally ready condition.
Perform other duties as assigned.
