About The Position

The Area Supervisor is responsible for procedures, quality, maintenance, safety, and schedules on assigned shifts, while promoting effective employee and company relations to improve customer service and company profits. The role oversees daily operations across multiple sites, manages budgets and expenses, implements production plans and policies, and supports operational excellence through employee training, coaching, and performance management. The position may require travel between work locations, customer sites, or company facilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a relevant field.
Two years of related experience and knowledge of the industry.
Strong understanding of asset management principles.
Ability to manage operatives and subcontractors.
Knowledge of maintenance techniques.
Expertise in various computer programs.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills.
May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

Supervise the daily operations of multiple sites.
Develop operating budgets and control expenses within those budgets.
Develop a safe, positive, and achievement-oriented working environment.
Respond to customer questions and concerns in a timely manner.
Monitor ongoing work, identify problems, and find solutions.
Implement production plans in accordance with approved schedules.
Implement new policies and procedures to meet site goals.
Review plans of correction and approve them when necessary.
Interview and hire new employees.
Train employees in their job duties to ensure smooth site operation.
Plan, assign, and direct employees' work.
Maintain employee attendance records and leave reports.
Distribute uniforms to employees.
Ensure team members work in conformance with SBM policies and procedures.
Promote operational excellence through training, coaching, discipline, and encouragement.
Develop processes for evaluating locations and individual performance.
Drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities as necessary.
Develop disciplinary and behavioral standards to maximize employee work efficiency.
Conduct performance evaluations, reward and discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve problems.
Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.
