About The Position

American First Finance is seeking a motivated, results-driven Area Sales Representative to expand market presence and cultivate merchant partnerships in an assigned territory. The role offers on-target earnings consisting of base salary and commission, with uncapped earning potential. The representative builds and manages a sales pipeline, makes regular in-person store visits, and is accountable for meeting sales targets and adding new merchant partners. Regular travel within the assigned territory is required.

Requirements

At least 1 year of proven success in B2B outside sales, consistently achieving measurable sales goals.
Motivation and a performance-driven approach, with a desire to exceed expectations.
Exceptional organizational skills, integrity, and professionalism.
Strong face-to-face selling experience and excellent negotiation and closing skills.
Ability to independently build and manage a sales pipeline.
Ability to collaborate with internal teams.
Valid driver’s license and car insurance for regular travel within the assigned territory.

Nice To Haves

Extensive experience in retail consumer finance, merchant services, or SaaS.

Responsibilities

Develop and grow merchant relationships through consistent engagement and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline of quality prospects within the assigned territory.
Conduct in-person visits to 8–10 stores daily and secure 10 or more new merchant partners each month.
Meet or exceed sales targets and take accountability for performance and results.
Use AFF’s CRM tools to track interactions, manage leads, and optimize sales strategies.
Collaborate with internal Marketing, Training, and Sales Operations teams to drive business success.
