About the position
The Area Sales Manager at Kasa is responsible for executing a sales strategy for Kasa's portfolio in a defined area, targeting various market segments including business transient, groups, social, and others. This role involves responding to inbound group and preferred corporate leads, conducting client appointments, attending networking events, and participating in tradeshows. The Area Sales Manager will play a key role in changing the perception of flexible accommodations for corporate and group travelers. The starting base pay range for this remote role is between $75,000 and $85,000, with potential for equity, bonus, perks, benefits, and Kasa Travel Credits.
Responsibilities
- Execute a sales strategy for Kasa's portfolio in a defined area
- Target all market segments, including business transient, groups, social, and others
- Conduct on-site client appointments at local properties
- Attend networking events and tradeshows
- Change the way corporate and group travelers view the flexible accommodations space
- Break down monthly targets into weekly achievable tasks
- Embrace ambiguity and adjust to business demands
- Promptly assess inbound leads to create partnership opportunities
- Pay attention to detail in organizing inbound leads and executing tasks
- Cultivate a positive team culture and exceed expectations
- Identify and uncover revenue-generating opportunities
- Confidently negotiate and navigate conversations with stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with peers, managers, and customers
- Achieve or exceed established conversion goals
- Write SMART Action Plans
- Make required number of prospecting calls per week
- Attend appropriate networking events, conferences, or tradeshows
- Achieve or exceed group and preferred corporate revenue goals
- Partner with Revenue Management to understand market demand, seasonality, and pricing
- Be responsive to client questions and handle negotiations
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts
- Close any gaps in sales solutions
- Work remotely with flexibility
- Receive Kasa Travel Credit for free stays and discounts
- Starting base pay range between $75,000 and $85,000, subject to change and modification
