About The Position

The Area Manager - Pacific Northwest is responsible for the Profit and Loss within their District, including weekly Accounts Receivable follow-up. This role involves hiring, training, developing, motivating, and shaping the image of Territory Managers. The Area Manager will conduct quarterly Territory Manager plan and review sessions and spend four days per week in the field with Territory Managers calling on Stonhard customers. This includes assisting in presentations and managing ongoing installation projects. The role monitors activities such as calls and quotes, measures performance related to invoicing, and actively monitors, directs, and secures Impact Projects. Daily check-ins with all Territory Managers within the district are required, along with compiling reports for the General Manager evaluating Territory Manager performance. The Area Manager is responsible for invoice forecasting, monitoring and reporting on installation performance, and following up with customers. Close collaboration with the CMG group/Installation crews is essential to ensure successful installations within the district, and interaction with other departments is necessary to advance the sales cycle.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as an area sales manager or in a field sales manager job.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Outstanding written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Familiar with specific account base or general markets.
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of Salesforce (SFA) and its uses.
  • Spend a minimum of 4 days per week in the field with TMs calling on Stonhard customers.
  • Outstanding negotiation and consultative sales skills.
  • A proven ability to manage projects and clearly communicate key project tasks.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business management, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with other departments to advance the sales cycle.
