About The Position

As ShipBob's Area Manager, Fulfillment Operations, you will oversee inventory control processes and develop a team of associates in an Innovation Center. The role focuses on process improvement, maintaining a safe work environment, and tracking performance and employee engagement. You will report directly to the Manager, SFN Quality and oversee all ICQA Associates. The backup for this role is the Manager, SFN Quality. The position is based at 28010 Eucalyptus Ave, Moreno Valley, California. You must be willing to work any shift, including nights and weekends, based on business demand. The role oversees site-level hazard and risk analysis activities and is responsible for maintaining and verifying product traceability, inventory accuracy, and conformance to product safety standards. It serves as the site's key contact for product integrity investigations and documentation. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary. The company offers a competitive total compensation package with a pay-for-performance approach. The target base salary range is $65,000–$73,000, with total compensation in the position's compensation architecture of $50,363–$83,938. The role may also be eligible to participate in the Company's discretionary bonus plan, subject to Company plans and policies.

Requirements

At least 2 years of people management and operational leadership experience within a high-volume 3PL fulfillment environment.
Ability to manage performance, deliver feedback, and train and develop talent for professional growth.
Solid computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerBI, and TMS systems.
Strong analytical skills and experience tracking and achieving KPIs.
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Ability to navigate and manage ambiguity.
Hard-working, detail-oriented, focused on learning, and passionate about helping small businesses compete online.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders and carrier partners.
Willingness to work rotating shifts and non-traditional hours as needed to support business operations.

Responsibilities

Run a daily standup meeting at the start of the shift and use data to assign daily tasks to ICQA associates.
Track ICQA associate task progress and provide follow-up training where needed.
Explain task best practices and why they are important.
Produce weekly reports detailing incorrect practices or other issues that could lead to lost inventory.
Work with the Network ICQA Manager to summarize issues and report them to the General Manager.
Provide feedback to the SCO team about new processes or tools that could improve inventory control.
Ensure quick and accurate responses to Jira tickets raised by the Merchant Care team, coordinating with operations teams as needed.
Coach the Merchant Care team when tickets are raised that do not align with company processes.
Complete daily and weekly tasks, keep credits for lost inventory to a minimum, achieve 98% of Jira tickets solved according to SLA, and ensure research for missing inventory is completed within 24 hours.
Oversee site-level hazard and risk analysis activities.
Maintain and verify product traceability, inventory accuracy, and conformance to product safety standards.
Serve as the site's key contact for product integrity investigations and documentation.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.
