About The Position

7-Eleven is hiring an Area Leader Trainee for Retail Sales. The role prepares participants to oversee 12–14 store locations and progress into a key operations role as an Area Leader. The in-depth training program typically lasts 12 months, and the position offers career growth potential, with Area Leaders able to pursue different career paths within 2–5 years. A company vehicle is provided for business use upon appointment to take over a district. The role focuses on staffing, training, and supervising Store Leaders; implementing merchandising programs; managing cash and inventory; building and motivating teams; and delivering excellent customer service. It also involves profit-and-loss management, budget planning, maximizing sales, controlling expenses, and setting performance goals while monitoring results with upper management.

Requirements

A four-year degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or at least five years of experience managing district or regional operations for retail or commercial operations, or a large single commercial store with multiple managers and 100+ employees.
A valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
Maintain automotive liability insurance during employment.
Ability to multitask and be self-motivated.
Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous multi-unit management experience is preferred.
