About The Position

The Area Leader Trainee is a retail operations role preparing the employee to oversee a district of approximately 12–14 store locations. Participants receive an in-depth training program that typically lasts 12 months. Upon appointment to take over a district, the Area Leader receives a company vehicle for business use. The position offers potential career growth, with possible career paths in multiple directions within 2–5 years.

Requirements

• A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or 5+ years of experience managing district or regional operations for retail/commercial, or a large single commercial store with multiple managers and 100+ employees.
• A valid driver's license from the state of residence.
• Maintain automotive liability insurance during employment.
• Ability to multitask and be self-motivated.
• Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous multi-unit management experience.

Responsibilities

• Staff, train, and supervise Store Leaders.
• Implement merchandising programs.
• Control cash and inventory.
• Motivate employees and build teams.
• Promote excellent customer service.
• Manage profit and loss, including budget planning, maximizing sales, and controlling expenses.
• Set performance goals and objectives and monitor results with upper management.
