About The Position

The Area Leader Trainee oversees 12–14 store locations and participates in an in-depth training program that typically lasts 12 months. Upon completing training and being appointed to take over a district, the role becomes a key operations position and includes a company vehicle for business use. The position offers substantial career growth potential, with possible career paths in different directions within 2–5 years.

The role focuses on leading store operations, developing Store Leaders, delivering excellent customer service, and managing district performance. The trainee must be able to relocate upon completion of training.

Requirements

• A four-year degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or 5+ years of experience managing district or regional operations for retail/commercial operations, or a large single commercial store with multiple managers and 100+ employees.
• Ability to relocate upon completion of training.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
• Must maintain automotive liability insurance during employment.
• Ability to multitask and be self-motivated.
• Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous multi-unit management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff, train, and supervise Store Leaders.
• Implement merchandising programs.
• Control cash and inventory.
• Motivate and build effective teams.
• Promote excellent customer service.
• Manage profit and loss, including budget planning, maximizing sales, and controlling expenses.
• Set performance goals and objectives, and monitor results with upper management.
• Oversee 12–14 store locations.
