About The Position

The Area Leader Trainee is a retail sales leadership role preparing the employee to oversee a district of 12–14 store locations. The company provides an in-depth training program that typically lasts 12 months. Upon appointment to take over a district as an Area Leader, the employee receives a company vehicle for business use. The role offers potential career growth into key operations roles, with possible career paths in different directions within 2–5 years.

The position focuses on multi-unit retail operations, developing store leaders and teams, delivering excellent customer service, implementing merchandising programs, and managing financial performance. The role requires a related four-year degree or qualifying operations-management experience, as well as a valid driver’s license and automotive liability insurance.

Requirements

• A four-year degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or at least five years of experience managing district or regional operations for retail/commercial operations, or a large single commercial store with multiple managers and 100 or more employees.
• A valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
• Maintain automotive liability insurance during employment.
• Ability to multitask and work independently with self-motivation.
• Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous multi-unit management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff, train, and supervise Store Leaders.
• Implement merchandising programs and control cash and inventory.
• Motivate and build teams while promoting excellent customer service.
• Manage profit and loss, including budget planning, maximizing sales, and controlling expenses.
• Set performance goals and objectives and monitor results with upper management.
