About The Position

7-Eleven is hiring an Area Leader Trainee for a fast-paced retail operations role that prepares participants to oversee a district of 12–14 store locations. The position includes an in-depth training program that typically lasts 12 months. After appointment to lead a district, the Area Leader receives a company vehicle for business use. The role offers career growth opportunities, including potential progression into key operations roles and other career paths over time.

Requirements

A four-year degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or at least 5 years of experience managing district or regional operations for retail/commercial operations, or a large single commercial store with multiple managers and 100 or more employees.
A valid driver's license from the state of residence.
Maintain automotive liability insurance during employment.
Ability to multitask and work independently with self-motivation.
Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous multi-unit management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Staff, train, and supervise Store Leaders.
Implement merchandising programs and control cash and inventory.
Motivate and build teams, promoting excellent customer service.
Manage profit and loss, including budget planning, maximizing sales, and controlling expenses.
Set performance goals and objectives, and monitor results with upper management.
Oversee operations across multiple store locations.
