About The Position

The Area Leader Trainee oversees and develops toward responsibility for 12–14 store locations. Participants complete an in-depth training program that typically lasts 12 months. After appointment to lead a district, the Area Leader receives a company vehicle for business use. The role offers potential to move into a key operations position and pursue varied career paths over time. The position focuses on leading Store Leaders and multi-unit retail operations, including staffing, training, merchandising, cash and inventory controls, customer service, and profit and loss management.

Requirements

A four-year degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or at least five years of experience managing district or regional operations for retail/commercial operations, or a large single commercial store with multiple managers and 100 or more employees.
Valid driver’s license from the state of residence and maintenance of automotive liability insurance during employment.
Ability to multitask and work self-motivatedly.
Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Previous multi-unit management experience.

Responsibilities

Staff, train, and supervise Store Leaders.
Implement merchandising programs and control cash and inventory.
Motivate and build teams while promoting excellent customer service.
Manage profit and loss, including budget planning, maximizing sales, and controlling expenses.
Set performance goals and objectives and monitor results with upper management.
Oversee 12–14 store locations.
