About The Position
Warby Parker is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Optician to help customers find eyewear that meets their prescription needs, face fit, personal style, and lifestyle. The apprentice works directly with a mentor who is a licensed optician in licensed states or a certified optician in non-licensed states, learning optical skills and product knowledge while providing exceptional customer service. The role includes developing expertise in measurements, eyewear adjustment and fitting, quality checks, prescription terminology, and product offerings. Apprentices collaborate with their team on customer service and sales practices and represent Warby Parker’s brand, values, and mission.

Responsibilities
- Work with a licensed or certified optician mentor to learn how to meet customers’ eyewear needs.
- Learn to take and record measurements and adjust and fit eyewear accurately.
- Learn to verify that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements and requests.
- Develop expertise explaining prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
- Work with the team to ensure customers receive exceptional service.
- Learn to help customers select frames and lenses based on prescription needs, face fit, personal style, and lifestyle.
- Collaborate with the team to develop sales and customer service best practices that can be implemented throughout the organization.
- Represent the Warby Parker brand and educate others about its values and mission.
