About The Position

The Apprentice Bartender/Barback works in the Beverage - Service Bar department and ensures necessary supplies are provided to bars and service wells. The role also assists guests and fellow team members as requested while supporting company service standards.

The position includes helping with bar opening and closing duties, restocking supplies and beverages, taking orders, preparing drinks, bussing tables, opening tabs, processing payments, and using the POS system accurately. The employee must follow responsible alcohol service standards and maintain inventory usage records to support reordering and proper storage of delivered items.

Requirements

• Ability to read and speak English and communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in written and verbal form.
• Understand and comply with company, departmental, and Gaming Control Board rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to multitask.
• Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and guests.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain required work cards.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to kneel, carry, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Practice, support, and promote Company Service Standards.
• Assist with bar opening and closing duties, including restocking garnishes, straws, napkins, clean towels, glasses, ice, liquor, wine, and beer.
• Communicate with guests to meet their immediate needs.
• Take orders, prepare drinks, bus tables, open tabs, and process payments, especially during peak business hours.
• Accurately ring up orders in the POS system while socializing with guests.
• Follow responsible alcohol service standards, including slowing down or cutting off intoxicated guests when necessary.
• Maintain records and report usage levels to assist with reordering.
• Ensure delivered items are stored properly.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents within designated areas according to policy.
