About The Position

The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Application Analyst I-BH Clinical Applications. The Application Analyst I – BH Clinical Applications acts as a clinical liaison between the Corporate IS Department and the BH facility. Works with facility users, vendors, and corporate staff to address clinical information requirements and solve related problems through the implementation and support of IS technologies and clinically oriented business practices. Participates in on-site or online training, implementations, user advisory meetings and task forces. Assists with the implementation of software enhancements and modifications. Troubleshoots and resolves ongoing issues within the clinical system and environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required.
  • 1 year experience working in an Information Technology environment is required, with hands-on computer experience.
  • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and email software applications.
  • Prior training experience, with proven ability to effectively teach trainees at varying skill levels.
  • A quick learner of software and information technology, and motivated to learn new applications and business operations.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills and documentation skills, among facility customers and team members.
  • Demonstrates customer-oriented service excellence principles, as outlined in UHS corporate standards.
  • Self-disciplined, able to work independently, but also able to take direction when necessary.
  • Self-motivated to identify and resolve issues, and in advancing personal knowledge.
  • Very organized and detail oriented.
  • Flexible with time.
  • An additional 5 years or more relevant experience with similar applications in a related environment may be considered in lieu of the education requirement.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 40% travel within the local market and additional travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a health care environment is a plus.
  • Experience with training software applications, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides onsite support and monitors assigned facilities. Responds to user-based questions and training requests and follows-up based on variations in usage.
  • Working with experienced staff as needed, provides direct training to users in the clinical applications, as well as supporting trainers in the field if applicable. This also includes completing all project tasks.
  • Participates in and helps to lead user groups and project teams, convenes conference calls and meetings, and maintains minutes and follow-up logs.
  • Supports ongoing review of data and data integrity. Manages reports and facility compliance through reporting tools
  • Troubleshoots system and application problems, including hardware and software issues as needed. Monitors the resolution of maintenance and enhancement issues assigned.
  • Provides ongoing communication with users, facility and corporate leaders, and vendors to assure support and continual understanding of current initiatives and progress within the clinical applications.
  • Provides on-call assistance as requested, for after-hours issues and support needs.
