About The Position

As an Appliance Delivery Helper, also known internally as a Deliver Experience Cadet, you assist with delivery, installation, repair, and haul-away of appliances and other equipment. You also help fulfill orders involving delivery, installation, integration, networking, and repair of consumer electronics devices.

During installations, you determine how to install major appliances safely and effectively. This includes measuring and protecting the route, assessing whether doors need to be detached, and deciding whether fixtures need to be moved. The role also includes customer service, inventory and vehicle upkeep, paperwork and payment processing, feedback to store teams, and in-store repairs.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of customer service, sales, installation, or large product delivery experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy’s safety standards, such as having a minimal number of violations or accidents.
• Ability to lift 350 pounds individually or 700 pounds as a team using support tools such as a harness, dolly, or lift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• At least 21 years old.
• Acquire and maintain any state or local licensing required within 90 days of being hired.

Responsibilities

• Attend appointments individually or lead a two-person crew up to 30% of the time, completing basic-complexity installations and repairs of home theater equipment and appliances.
• Determine the best way to bring major appliances into homes and their final locations, including measuring and protecting the route and assessing whether doors or fixtures need to be moved.
• Remove and reinstall doors and panels as necessary.
• Provide a seamless client experience by advising customers on product placement, services, and other content.
• Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with other team members.
• Process paperwork and payment, provide feedback to store teams, and complete in-store repairs.
• Assist with delivery, installation, repair, and haul-away of appliances and other equipment.
