About The Position

CAPREIT is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for its Falcon Heights apartment community in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. This role is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the community, including troubleshooting and repairing various systems and components, managing maintenance operations, overseeing maintenance staff, and assisting office staff with resident and vendor interactions. Requirements

3 to 5 years of apartment maintenance experience
A valid CFC with Type I and II or with Universal certification is required
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to respond to on-call emergencies, when needed
Ability to provide your own basic tools
Computer literacy skills
A high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace individual heating and A/C units, water heaters, appliances, plumbing and electrical systems, asphalt, building interiors and exteriors, drainage systems, and remodeling carpentry.
Schedule service requests, prepare and schedule vacant turnovers, take inventory, order supplies, schedule contractors when needed, establish and maintain a preventative maintenance program, and complete periodic inspections and capital improvements.
Hire, train, and supervise maintenance personnel.
Interact with residents, prospective residents, and vendors in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner.
