About The Position

The Apartment Community Custodian is responsible for keeping all common areas of the apartment community clean and attractive and preparing apartments between residents. This is an on-site, full-time position reporting to the Business Manager, with availability required Saturday through Wednesday. Duties include cleaning community facilities and laundry rooms; patrolling grounds and maintaining entrances, stairwells, sidewalks, parking areas, and landscaping; assisting with exterior painting, minor repairs, and pool and spa upkeep; and cleaning and painting apartment interiors for new residents. The employee also performs other reasonably related duties as assigned. The position requires pre-employment drug screening and criminal background screening. The employer participates in E-VERIFY and maintains a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

Clean the rental office, recreation areas, pool, spa, exercise room, and restrooms, including trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, and interior and exterior window cleaning.
Maintain laundry rooms by removing trash, sweeping, mopping, and wiping machines and surfaces.
Walk the property each morning to pick up litter and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
Remove leaves, debris, and cobwebs from building entryways and stairwells.
Sweep and blow off sidewalks, parking areas, and dumpster zones, and move garbage bins to pickup locations on scheduled days.
Water landscaping daily as needed.
Assist with exterior painting, minor repairs, and routine pool and spa upkeep.
Clean and paint apartment interiors to prepare units for new residents.
Help maintain the community according to LPR’s cleanliness and quality standards.
Perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.
