About The Position

Advanced Cell Diagnostics, a Bio-Techne brand, is seeking an AP Specialist based in its Newark, California office. The role is responsible for daily accounts payable transactions, month-end accounting close activities, and ad hoc projects. The successful candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals and be self-motivated, dedicated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow with the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft applications and Excel, including VLOOKUP, IF functions, and pivot tables.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Reliable, dedicated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Accounting experience in a manufacturing company.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and payment transactions, including check runs, wires, and ACH payments, with a focus on compliance, accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
• Liaise with department heads for approvals, as well as with the purchasing and receiving teams.
• Manage vendor relationships by monitoring timely payments and resolving open issues.
• Assist with month-end close activities, account reconciliations and analysis, journal entries, and audit requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and enhance efficiency.
• Support the team with other duties as assigned.
