About The Position
This position is responsible for managing the Angel Tree Program, which includes recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers to meet Christmas program needs. The role also involves preparing records and reports for the Christmas program.
Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Two years experience working in an office environment or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Manages the Angel Tree Program
- Recruits, trains, and coordinates the work of volunteers
- Ensures adequate volunteer staffing for Christmas program needs
- Prepares records and reports for the Christmas program
- Interviews, recruits, screens, and selects volunteers for the Christmas Angel Tree Program
- Posts volunteer listings at Malls to ensure staffing at all times
- Maintains a current list of volunteers at the Christmas Distribution Center
- Recruits replacement volunteers when time slots are not filled
- Maintains statistics, placement, and follow-up for all Angels at all locations
- Assists with an Appreciation Program for employees and volunteers at the end of the season
- Contacts Corporate Sponsors regarding their angel requirements
- Prepares materials and angels for delivery
