About The Position
This position is responsible for managing the Angel Tree Program. This includes recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers to ensure adequate staffing for the Christmas program needs. The role also involves preparing records and reports for the Christmas program.
Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Two years experience working in an office environment or Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Manages the Angel Tree Program
- Recruits, trains, and coordinates volunteers
- Ensures adequate staffing for the Christmas program needs
- Prepares records and reports for the Christmas program
- Interviews, recruits, screens, and selects volunteers for the Christmas Angel Tree Program
- Posts listings of volunteers at Malls to ensure staffing at all times
- Maintains names of volunteers at the Christmas Distribution Center in a book to be kept current at all times
- Calls and recruits volunteers if each time slot is not filled, reviewing the previous year’s list of names and numbers
- Finds replacement volunteers if a volunteer calls and is unable to report
- Maintains statistics, placement, and follow-up for all Angels at all locations
- Assists with an Appreciation Program for the Christmas Program employees and Christmas volunteers at the end of the season
- Contacts Corporate Sponsors on the number of angels they require, preparing materials and angels for delivery
