About The Position

This is a seasonal position responsible for managing the Angel Tree Program. The role involves recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers to ensure adequate staffing for Christmas program needs, as well as preparing records and reports for the program. The position also includes assisting with donations, maintaining the warehouse, and interacting with donors to promote a positive image of The Salvation Army.

Requirements

Ability to meet attendance requirements
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language
Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects
Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Manages the Angel Tree Program
Recruits, trains, and coordinates volunteers' work, ensuring adequate staffing to meet Christmas program needs
Prepares records and reports for the Christmas program
Lifts and stacks donations in the warehouse
Distributes donations to their proper place as instructed in the warehouse
Cleans and services assigned areas in the Christmas Center
Picks up trash, empties garbage containers, and removes all trash to area for disposal
Maintains good relationships with donors to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army
Unloads the truck at the Christmas warehouse
Assists with angel tree pick-ups from the drop-off locations
Assists in cleaning and maintaining the Christmas warehouse and loading dock area
Assists in working in all areas of the Christmas warehouse operations as needed
Performs special projects as needed
Performs other related duties incidental to work described herein
Performs other related work as required
