About The Position

As an AM Server, you take food and beverage orders, serve guests, maintain guest satisfaction, process payments, and respond to guest complaints or concerns. You are expected to provide service in accordance with company standards, maintain knowledge of the menu and beverages, and support the team in creating authentic, elevated, and memorable guest experiences.

The position requires AM availability and a flexible hospitality schedule that may include extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on business coverage needs. The role is regular part-time and pays $10 per hour plus tips.

Requirements

• Availability to work in the morning (AM).
• Meet the minimum legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• TIPS certification, or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to follow directions thoroughly.
• Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and accurately handle POS transactions.
• Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to remain calm, prioritize tasks, and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest and company information.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods, up to 8–10 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, and transport up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and carry service items frequently.
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, flatware, and POS equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexible schedule, potentially including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a restaurant or banquet server in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, ingredients, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, correct glassware, and garnishes.
• Greet, welcome, and acknowledge guests in accordance with company standards.
• Set tables according to service standards and maintain the cleanliness of work areas, china, glassware, and equipment throughout the shift.
• Serve food and alcoholic beverages, answer menu and beverage questions, and promptly enter orders in the POS system.
• Accurately communicate special requests, allergies, and dietary needs to the kitchen.
• Check in with guests during service, confirm satisfaction, and anticipate and address service needs.
• Present checks accurately, process payments, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Know and properly use equipment, follow cleaning procedures, and operate equipment only as intended.
• Communicate with the kitchen about menu questions, product availability, wait times, and order changes.
• Assist team members by running food, bussing tables, and restocking when possible.
• Complete closing duties, including restocking items and securing service areas.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance.
• Develop positive relationships with team members and work toward common goals.
• Follow quality, safety, and service standards.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
