About The Position

The Outlet Server provides friendly, attentive, and personalized food and beverage service to resort guests and members. The role includes creating a welcoming atmosphere, recommending menu items, maintaining familiarity with menus and beverage offerings, and helping uphold Omni Hotels & Resorts’ service standards. The position is identified in the posting as part-time and requires working a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

At least 1 year of serving experience; high-volume and casual environments or upscale hotel restaurant experience preferred.
Adhere to and agree to compensation acknowledgement and tip reporting guidelines.
Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer.
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
Have an unexpired Food Handler credential upon hire.
Ability to lift, push, pull, place, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge and greet guests, anticipate their needs, and respond to inquiries and requests.
Provide friendly, professional service to members and guests in accordance with proper steps of service.
Maintain familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings, including wine service.
Set up and break down the assigned station and complete side work.
Polish and clean water glassware at the assigned station during each shift.
Take food and beverage orders and upsell when possible.
Greet guests pleasantly and use their surnames when known.
Send orders using MICROS systems.
Communicate meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the culinary team.
Immediately alert the Restaurant Manager to guest suggestions, complaints, or issues.
Present accurate checks and process payments.
Assist with seating guests and answering restaurant phones as needed.
Cross-train among other food and beverage outlets as needed.
Perform other duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager.
